Originated in the Madhubani village of Bihar, Mithila painting or Madhubani painting is one of India's most loved art forms. Made with rice powder, twigs and natural colours, these paintings have also found worldwide recognition with a Madhubani museum in Japan as well. Some of them are devoted to gods and goddesses while others portray the daily lives of common folk. It is this diversity of themes that makes Madhubani an evergreen art form!
